The kickoff! March 16, 2007

I’m curious! How many people out there truly love what they do for a living? Do you find yourself excited by what you do, infected by your purpose and caught up in your work? Do you find it hard to separate your work from your life? When others ask you what you do for a living, do you find it hard to stop evangelising? How does it feel to be so passionate about your work?
Wouldn’t it be great if we could all find ourselves in this situation. Where every day we are working towards something we can truly believe in. I have been fortunate in my career to find myself swept up in the mission, believing in the purpose and feeling truly valued for my efforts; and it makes a huge difference to the energy you commit and the results that you produce. It doesn’t happen all the time, and it certainly does not exist everywhere you go, but it is possible to find excitement and passion in even the most seemingly mundane of occupations.
The Impassioned Workforce is my mission to identify the characteristics and elements that contribute to a fully engaged population of performers. What does it take to excite people and get them to fully commit their talents and their intensity in the pursuit of organisational objectives? What can organisations do to really engage their people and get them to willingly give their best?
I want to hear about your workplace utopia. What is it about your situation, your boss, your company mission that really inspires you to do you best work? I want to hear about connections, meanings, dynamics, challenges, anything that really drives you to get out of bed each morning and continuing to climb the mountain. Let this be a celebration of the energy that is created from an impassioned workforce. I can’t wait to hear from you.
